What I Do

I am a multimedia journalist with three years of experience covering Scottish politics, social affairs and gender equity across digital and print platforms.

I currently write in The National and The New Feminist, where I report on public interest issues with clarity, and balance. At both outlets, my role spans the full newsroom process, from in-depth research and sourcing to writing, editing and producing multimedia content for digital audiences.

I began my reporting career at The Gaudie, developing a sharp news sense and the ability to deliver accurate, engaging copy to tight deadlines.

Alongside my written journalism, I produce Scottish news content for TikTok, bringing complex stories to new audiences through short-form video. I independently research, script, film and edit my content, combining traditional reporting standards with storytelling techniques designed for engagement and reach.

My strengths lie in identifying angles that resonate, asking incisive questions, and translating policy-heavy or nuanced topics into accessible journalism without losing depth. I understand audience behaviour across platforms and use multimedia tools strategically to maximise clarity and impact.

Families blast Labour-led council for axing school plan after residents bought homes

Residents in the village of East Calder, just outside Livingston, say they were told up until November 2024 that if they bought a house in the area, developer contributions would go towards a "1210 pupil new build school on a school site".

I present facts accurately and responsibly while keeping delivery sharp, conversational and suited to digital platforms.

Using TikTok as a primary platform, I combine traditional journalism values, such as verification, balance and clarity with modern storytelling techniques tailored for fast-moving online audiences. 

My goal is to bridge the gap between mainstream news and younger viewers, ensuring Scottish stories are accessible to the people they affect most.
